2022 FSSC Renaissance-Reformation Tour

Sign up now for the 2022 FSSC Renaissance / Reformation Tour!

Departing on Monday, December 26th, 2022 from Nashville TN (we can help you arrange a connecting flight if necessary) and returning on Sunday, January 8th, 2023.
We will fly into Rome and explore the Ancient City, and the Treasures of the Renaissance. After 2 nights in Rome, our private coach will take us on to Florence (with a stop in Assisi to see the Basilica of St. Francis and the Frescoes by Giotto). After 2 days & nights in Florence, we head on to Innsbruck, Austria for a New Years Eve celebration in the Alps.
Week two covers the Lutherstraße in Germany. We will stay in Nuremberg, Erfurt, & Wittenberg (with an excursion to the Wartburg Castle, where Luther was hidden from the Emperor and spent several months translating the Bible into German). At the end of our trip, after a final banquet, we fly home from Berlin.
High School students (age 15 & up) with an interest in the Renaissance and Reformation are welcome to join us. Parents and friends of the Schaeffer Study Center are also welcome.
The tour is deliberately kept small – maximum of 30 participants – with our own private chartered coach and personal tour guides & managers at every hotel & stop. The tour is led by FSSC Director Rob Shearer, Luther scholar, Fulbright Fellow in Germany, and author of Famous Men of the Renaissance & Reformation.
The total tour fee is $5,581. The tour fee includes airfare (to/from Nashville), hotels & all transportation in Europe, breakfast & dinner each day, and ALL museum admissions. Your only additional expenses will be for lunches and souvenirs. If you are departing from a city other than Nashville, please contact Explorica. They can make specific air travel arrangements for you, often at little or no additional cost.
All tour arrangements are handled by Explorica – one of the leaders in student travel.
